What black and white does
It works like a monochrome plot style. Every colour in the drawing is printed in black, and each line keeps its lineweight, so walls, outlines and sections still stand out from thin dimension and hatch lines. Objects given a specific true colour (an RGB colour rather than a standard colour number) keep that colour.
This is often easier to read than a colour print, because yellow, cyan and light-green lines that are clear on a black CAD screen nearly vanish on white paper.
When to choose colour
Choose Colour for drawings where colour carries meaning, such as service layouts, zoning plans and markups. The drawing's colours are kept, except white lines, which print black so they show on white paper.
Lineweights
Lineweights set on layers or objects are printed at their real thickness. Lines with the default lineweight are printed thin. To make some layers lighter or remove them altogether, switch them off in the large preview before you save.
